We are looking for a motivated  Human Resources Specialist to help keep core HR processes running smoothly and provide dependable support to employees and leaders. The right person will be detail-focused, organized, responsive, and comfortable working with confidential information. You should be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, exercise good judgment, and adapt quickly as business needs and processes evolve. The position also provides room to expand your HR knowledge and take on broader responsibilities over time.

What You'll Do

  • Manage incoming HR requests and ensure questions and follow-ups are addressed promptly.

  • Assist with recruiting administration, including preparing employment offers and coordinating pre-employment requirements.

  • Review employee change documentation and verify that required approvals, supporting materials, and effective dates are complete and accurate.

  • Help facilitate employee transitions, including new hires, internal moves, and departures.

  • Keep personnel information, HR files, forms, and related documentation current and organized.

  • Update HR information, resources, and policies within the organization's intranet.

  • Work with internal partners to arrange technology and equipment for incoming, transferring, and departing employees.

  • Provide additional assistance with orientation, employee training, performance-related processes, and other HR programs.

  • Develop and maintain practical HR resources such as process guides, templates, reference materials, and checklists.

  • Contribute to employee activities, HR projects, compliance efforts, and organizational initiatives.

  • Safeguard sensitive employee information and handle confidential communications appropriately.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in an HR coordinator, HR specialist, HR administrator, or similar role.

  • College degree in HR, business, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Two or more years working with an HRIS

  • Familiarity with fundamental HR practices, personnel documentation, employee records, and confidentiality requirements.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to accurately manage details while balancing competing priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.

  • Professional judgment and discretion when working with confidential or sensitive matters.

  • Ability to pick up unfamiliar systems, procedures, and workflows quickly.

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with employees, managers, and other internal partners.

  • HR certification, or plans to pursue a credential such as PHR or SHRM-CP, is a plus.
